Cultivating the City.

During the months of March and April I was in Brazil for intensive site visits in the state of Rio Grande do Sul for my landscape archtiecture thesis work Cultivating the City. I was based in the rural sociology department of URFGS – that is where the most relevant research is happening in terms of landscape architecture. I have attempted to capture every relevant moment in the field as well as chronicle my thinking. I was also working through the fifty princliples of landscape thinking that I developed working with Professor Thomas Oles for the upcoming book Go with Me: Handbook for Landscape Thinking.

This is my attempt at at action based research for landscape architecture. The results of these two month are on a tumblr called

O Brasil: Cultivating the City.
